Members of the Schwisow Construction team recently attended the 35th Annual Sports For Kids Foundation Benefit Auction in Omaha in support of an organization making a meaningful difference for children with special needs and their families. Held at the DC Centre, the annual event brings the community together around a shared goal of helping improve quality of life for children through specialized programs, equipment, and services.
Founded in 1989, the Sports For Kids Foundation has spent more than three decades helping children in Nebraska and beyond through support made possible by its yearly fundraising efforts. Proceeds from the event help provide assistance such as equine therapy sessions, adaptive recreation equipment, protective headgear, hearing aids, camp experiences, and other resources that can have a lasting impact on children and their families.
The benefit auction has become one of the foundation’s signature events, featuring sports memorabilia and other donated items that help generate support for the organization’s mission. More than just an evening of fundraising, the event highlights the power of community partnerships and the difference local support can make in the lives of others.
